Gold Rush Activities at Fort Caspar Museum:

Hands-On Workshop Shows Participants How to Pan for Gold

Want to try your hand at gold panning? Come to Fort Caspar Museum on Saturday, April 22nd, for our monthly hands-on workshop, Fremont Family Funday. We will be hosting the Casper Chapter of the Gold Prospectors Association of America whose members will be conducting a gold panning demonstration. In addition, we will make clothes hanger "scales".

Participants may drop in between 1:00 and 3:00 pm; no reservations are required. This program is open to all ages and is free with museum admission. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Fort Caspar Museum's hours in April are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays. Admission prices are $1.50 for adults; $1.00 for youth (ages 13-18 years); FREE for children (12 years and younger) and for Museum members.
