54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Whitney Bashor Live at 54 Below on Thursday, June 26, 2014. Bashor starred on Broadway this season as Marian/Chiara in The Bridges of Madison County, singing Jason Robert Brown's folk-inspired "Another Life". Bashor's solo concert debut will showcase wide-ranging vocals, as she explores influences of rock and roll, R&B, folk classics, country and contemporary Broadway standards.

With an ethereal presence, Bashor's unplugged performance will feature selections ranging from musical theatre to acoustic pop covers. Audiences can expect fresh takes on songs by Whitney Houston, Dolly Parton and material from her growing catalogue of Broadway and regional show credits, such as Pasek & Paul's Edges, in which Bashor originated one of the lead roles. Musical direction and piano by Jodie Moore (If/Then, Alladin, Spring Awakening), with Matt Hinkley (Violet) on guitar. Bashor will be joined by special guest, Katie Klaus (The Bridges of Madison County, Bonnie and Clyde, A Catered Affair).

Bashor is the recipient of the 2014 Clarence Derwent Award for most promising female performer on the New York metropolitan scene for her portrayal of dual roles in The Bridges of Madison County. Established in 1945, the award is the oldest award on Broadway and past recipients include Nina Arianda, Annette Bening, Kristin Chenoweth, Morgan Freeman, Allison Janney, Frances Sternhagen, Christopher Walken.
