An Evening with Justin Brill - Direct from playing Boq on the first national tour of Wicked, Justin Brill brings an evening of songs and stories tracing his path from his home in Annapolis, Maryland to Broadway and beyond.

This cabaret concert is Monday, April 15 at 7:00 PM on the Headlee Mainstage at Lakewood Center for the Arts.

Mr. Brill sings Broadway favorites and shares stories from his time on Broadway and in Vegas with All Shook Up, Rent, High Fidelity, Mamma Mia and Spamalot. He also dips back in time featuring classics including a medley of songs by Irving Berlin and George Gershwin. Veteran Lakewood musical director/ pianist Mont Chris Hubbard will accompany Mr. Brill.

The cabaret concert is a benefit performance for LTC's Rising Stars program (education and performance opportunities for emerging and established talent).

Mr. Brill will also be conducting a two-day intensive master class prior to his cabaret performance. The master class is geared toward actors interested in auditioning for productions, competitions, professional training and college or conservatory programs.

Several of the master class participants will have the opportunity to perform with Justin in the Monday night performance.

Mont Chris Hubbard is an accomplished Portland composer/performer/music director. He has released three CDs of solo piano improvisations and is the co-creator of the PAMTA nominated musical Carnies.

Mr. Brill grew up Annapolis, Maryland, stretching his time in every possible direction. After graduating in May 2000 with honors, he moved to New York and started his professional career. After a few years of balancing part-time work with short jobs out of town, he booked his first big job, playing Puck in Benjamin Britten's A Midsummer Nights' Dream at The Metropolitan Opera. Since then, he has been a part of shows such as Beauty and the Beast (National Tour), Mamma Mia! (Las Vegas), All Shook Up!, Rent, High Fidelity and Monty Python's Spamalot (Las Vegas) and Wicked (National Tour).
