8/1 7:30PM Award-wining singer/songwriter and master-storyteller Garry Novikoff celebrates the arrival of his much-anticipated full-length debut CD, "A Normal Life" Championed by the likes of Christine Lavin and Richard Barone, Garry has been described as Peter Allen meets Barenaked Ladies over at the Fountains of Wayne on Avenue Q. Songs like "Dog on the Moon" and "I Like Men" have been favorites on radio stations across the country, including WFUV, The Village on Sirius XM and Sirius OutQ. Whether singing about modern relationships, childhood disappointment, cross-dressing or unconventional uses for hot sauce, Garry infuses his songs with equal doses humor and pathos. 8/2 7PM Daryl Glenn and JoLynn Burks sing songs from Nashville Daryl Glenn and his co-star, the beautiful and talented Broadway singer/conductor/pianist Jo Lynn Burks return with their popular, critically acclaimed, BISTRO, NIGHTLIFE, and MAC award-winning, tribute to Robert Altman's classic 1975 film, "NASHVILLE" the very first Sunday of each and every month at 7 pm. With a new and udderly fabulous special guest star for every dang show! 9:30PM Michael Holland and Kevin Dozier "Something Shiny" Award-winning composer/lyricist, arranger, and recording artist, Michael Holland, and award- winning singer, Kevin Dozier, team up to bring you "Something Shiny - Random things that have managed to catch our attention." Featuring songs by Joni Mitchell, Indigo Girls, Boston, Nirvana, David Sylvan, Dave Yazbek, Fleet Foxes, Michael Holland, Nike Kershaw, Todd Rundgren, and even Frank Loesser, as only the inventive mind of Michael Holland could arrange them, and vocalists Dozier and Holland could deliver them. $20

8/4 9:30PM Annie Ross Annie Ross is one of the pioneers of vocalese and the composer of "Twisted", one of the most well known examples of that art, as well as "Farmers Market", "Jackie" and many others. A founding member of Lambert, Hendricks and Ross, considered the greatest jazz vocal ensemble of all time, her influence is present in all subsequent practitioners of vocalese. "Twisted" has been recorded by a host of vocalists, including some not normally associated with jazz, including Joni Mitchell and Bette Midler. $25

With more than two decades writing and performing, Flather boasts five albums, all of which are commercially available via www.amazon.com and www.theorchard.com. A member of ASCAP, her original compositions are published by Margaret Hall Music. "More View Points" is an expression of the outspoken Flather's personality. Laced together with humorous snippets of her life story, including a childhood spent in the Philippines where her father was a director for the US Peace Corps during the Kennedy Administration, "More Viewpoints" celebrates the women who inspired Flather to write and perform music - Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon, Annie Lenox, and Suzanne Vega - together with many of her own compositions. Her show blends the genres of folk, pop, jazz, and the music hall with an ongoing commentary heavy on punchlines. Years after returning from the Philippines, Flather studied at New York 's famous High School of Music and Art in Harlem. As a singer and songwriter, Flather is a two-time Backstage Bistro Award-winner. 8/14 7:30PM Josh Zuckerman This is Josh Zuckerman's official NYC CD release concert for his latest album "Got Love?."Josh Zuckerman is not your typical rock star. While exemplifying the perfect star quality, he continues to carry a message about being true to one's self. Raised in St. Louis, Missouri, a music town in its own right, Josh developed his first love for music. At the age of eight he was introduced to violin, which he studied for the next five years. About this time, Josh's interest in music drifted to rock'n roll. After unsatisfied gigs in several cover bands, Josh decided to write his own music. Inspired by the sounds of the east coast, Josh relocated to New Jersey where he continued to compose his melodies and lyrics. 9:30PM Jason Danieley and the Frontier Heroes Jason Danieley returns to the Metropolitan room, this time with a stringband version of his band The Frontier Heroes (Michael Aarons, Eric Davis and Christian Hebel). In the tradition of American stringbands, JD & TFH put a little twang to standards written by Arlen, Mercer, Carmichael, Connick and Gershwin, to name a few. Hoagy and Johnny had a unique country drawl to their music and lyrics. Using that as a jumping off point Jason and The Frontier Heroes hope you come out and enjoy a toe-tapping evening of some of your favorites...and maybe some new favorites. $25
