Following the success of his first cabaret show, Levin to London, FabIan Hartwell is proud to present the debut of his new show, FAB is half my name in New York City. Just short of being a full-length musical about himself, the Prince of the London cabaret scene explores the finer, more fabulous things life has to offer.
Amy Anders-Corcoran directs FAB is half my name, which will also feature
Tory Ross (Bway: Cry-Baby, 9 to 5 Film: SATC2). The evening will be accompanied by James Cunningham.
Hartwell just completed a run in the European Premiere of Silence! the musical playing the nefarious Buffalo Bill, which was directed by
Christopher Gattelli. An accomplished cabaret performer, Fabian regularly performs in London and has taken his solo shows as far as Australia and New Zealand. He is a graduate of the Australian National Drama School (NIDA). While at NIDA he played John Hinckley in Assassins. Theatre Credits include Mack & Mabel (Broadway Theatre, Catford), My Fair Lady, The Rocky Horror Show, Jesus Christ Superstar, Spirit of the Dance (UK Tour) and Linus in Snoopy!!! The Musical (Edinburgh Festival). More recently Fabian appeared as Muddles in Sleeping Beauty, Private Harwood in the British Premiere of
Kurt Weill's Johnny Johnson in the Lost Musicals Season (Sadlers Wells), and created the role of Starfish for a new children's musical.

Amy Anders-Corcoran, a director/choreographer, will be graduating in May from Penn State's MFA program in Directing for the Musical Theatre Stage. She was the 2009 SDC Noel Coward Fellow for Comedic Direction, and has been lucky to assist
Christopher Gattelli,
Mark Rucker, and
Michael Lichtefeld. Favorite directing/choreography credits include In Trousers, Rabbit Hole, Smokey Joe's Cafe, and Crazy for You. Next up will be directing/choreographing another production of Smokey Joe's Cafe and sponsoring a theatre workshop for children with Type I diabetes.
Tory Ross just recently completed a run of Silence! the musical playing Clarice Starling in London. This year, she was in 9 to 5 on Broadway, understudied
Lorna Luft on the first national tour of White Christmas, filmed a bit part in the upcoming Sex and the City film and won Best Ensemble Honorable Mention with
Stephen Bienskie at the NYMF festival for Marrying Meg. Other credits include Cry-Baby on Broadway (Hatchet-Face), the national tour and film of The Producers and
Jerry Springer: the opera at
Carnegie Hall. She will perform the world premiere of a new song written by
Alex Gemignani and
Brad Bauner in FAB is half my name.
James Cunningham has toured the nation with
Irving Berlin's White Christmas, Spamalot, and Evita. Regionally, he has performed with Phantom (NCT), Singin' in the Rain (Cape Fear Regional Theatre), Joseph...Dreamcoat (Tarrytown Music Hall). James has spent two seasons as AMD for productions at the St. Louis MUNY. He has also served as a staff musical director and pianist for the Program in Vocal Performance at NYU where he conducted productions of Urinetown, 29 and The Boys from Syracuse. James holds degrees from Manhattan School of Music and New York University.
