Rising theatre star Tim Realbuto will team up with Tony Award winning and Oscar nominated composer Maury Yeston (Nine; Grand Hotel; Titanic) for a concert evening at the Metropolitan Room this February entitled 'Tim Realbuto: Bookseller in the Rain. The Music of Maury Yeston.'

Realbuto is most known for co-writing the Broadway-aimed musical Ghostlight, and for creating and starring in the critically acclaimed (not-so-solo) solo show Wunderkind, which recently ended its year-long tour in Orlando, having toured NYC all last year (including sold-out engagements at 54 Below, Stage 72, The Laurie Beechman, and Joe's Pub).

Wunderkind told the story of Realbuto's life growing up in show business. He has decided to put that story to rest (for now) in order to focus on the life of one of his heroes, Mr. Maury Yeston. With Yeston as a special guest in the audience, Realbuto will weave his way through some of Yeston's most popular hits as well as treat the audience to some lesser-known Yeston tunes.

When Realbuto was in college, Mr. Yeston was given an honorary doctorate as his school. After a performance for the composer, Mr. Yeston told Mr. Realbuto that he "sings his music the way it was meant to be sung." And with Mr. Yeston's blessing, 'Tim Realbuto: Bookseller in the Rain' was born. It took several years to bring the concert to the stage, but Realbuto promises a spectacular evening complete with a full band, some amazing Broadway talent, and of course, Mr. Yeston himself as our special guest.

Realbuto is no stranger to working with A-listers when it comes to his shows, and this show will be no different. He will have a roster of special guests on hand to honor the legendary composer, including "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" star Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked; Bare), "Top Five" star Laurissa Romain (South Pacific), Kimberly Faye Greenberg (Danny and Sylvia; One Night With Fanny Brice), Abigail Ludrof (Ghostlight; The HVAC Plays), Emily Esposito (A Christmas Story; Evita), and many, many more to be announced at a later date. Musical direction for the evening will be provided by Julianne B. Merrill (Wunderkind).

'Tim Realbuto: Bookseller in the Rain' was originally slated to play two nights due to popular demand, but Mr. Yeston and Mr. Realbuto's schedules would not allow for it. Instead, the one-night-only concert will take place on Sunday, February 15th, 2015 at The Metropolitan Room, 34 West 22nd Street, NYC. Showtime is 9:30 PM. Tickets range from $22.50-$115.00 and are currently available at www.metropolitanroom.com. For more information on Tim, visit www.TimRealbutoOfficial.com.
