The Cabaret Showdown is a monthly game show produced by Sound Street Productions in association with Frigid New York @ Horse Trade.

This unique competition is a mixture of live karaoke and musical improvisation, with a game board. Contestants are asked to choose songs from various categories with no knowledge of what the song will be until 30 seconds before they sing. The winner from each month receives a free one-hour showcase performance at The Kraine Theater presented the following month.

The Cabaret Showdown takes place the second Sunday of every month at The Kraine Theater (85 E. 4th Street, between 2nd Ave and Bowery) at 7pm. Tickets ($10/$12) and can be purchased in advance at www.horsetrade.info.

The Cabaret Showdown 5th Anniversary Show on Sunday, November 13th at 7:00pm will feature your host, Mark McDaniels (Co-Author, Show Choir! - The Musical) with co-host Diana Byrne as DiVanna, resident judge Donald Garverick (Director/Choreographer, Beverly Hills: 90210 The Musical) and guest judges Michael A. Alden (Tony Award Winning Producer) and Rick Miller (Talent Agent).

FRIGID NEW YORK is a theater development group with a focus on new work that produces a massive quantity of stimulating downtown theater every season. FRIGID's Resident Artist Program offers a home to a select group of Independent theater artists, pooling together a great deal of talent and energy. FRIGID New York grew out of the annual FRIGID Festival, the first and only festival of its kind in New York City to offer artists 100% of their box office proceeds, and Horse Trade Theater Group, a self-sustaining theater development and management group.
