Singer/songwriter, Laury Shelly, recently made her NY solo debut at the Metropolitan Room with “My Time with Legrand”, a tribute to her mentor, Michel Legrand. Laury was living her dream touring with composer, Michel Legrand, as Legrand's vocal soloist. During these amazing years, Laury made her debut at the prestigious Carnegie Hall, The Sahara Hotel in Vegas, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, Miami’s Stars Under The Stars Concert Series at Marine Stadium and The Westbury Theatre in New York, as well as concert halls in Toronto, San Francisco, Dallas, Pittsburgh, New Orleans and Los Angeles. As a solo artist, Laury has appeared at Jazz Showcase, Katerina's, Coq d'Or & Palm Court at The Drake Hotel, Pete Miller's, Catch Thirty Five and Maxim's in Chicago, Cinegrill in LA, Iridium Jazz Club in NY, Summerfest in Milwaukee, Taste of Chicago and Chicago's Jazz Festival. Last April, Laury reunited with Michel at The Dakota Jazz Club in Minn.

Critic reviews include: WLFM’s Loni Taylor who praised her "amazing vocals"; Russ Davis of MOJA Radio who described her as "a brilliant singer" and the legendary Rick Kogan of WGN and the Chicago Tribune, who called her "Very special...she is the real deal". TV appearances include WGN America’s Midday Show, while in radio Laury appeared on WRRG with hosts Nick Calabrese and Bruce Gibson on WDCB 90.9 with host Bruce Oscar and Judy Stadt’s "thelunchandjudyshow".

Laury can also be heard singing the duet "Pieces of Dreams" with Michel on the recording "Michel Legrand and Friends" which was just re-released in CD form October 2nd; and also released, Michel Legrand The RCA Years, in Japan, that includes musical luminaries Lena Horne and Jack Jones.

Music Director/Arranger/Accompianist: Vijay Tellis-Nayak has received the highest accolades for his prodigious musical talents since childhood and is currently sought after as one of the top musicians, producers and music consultants in Chicago. His credits include working with: Randy Brecker, The Supremes, The Buddy Rich Memorial Big Band, Howard Levy, Umphrey’s McGee, Fareed Haque, Bill Dickens and Congolese Soukous legend Diblo Dibala. TV appearances include: being featured on CNN and WGN. Vijay's recording studio, Transient Sound has recorded sessions by Matthew Santos (singer for Lupe Fiasco), Darryl "Munch" Jones (bassist Rolling Stones, MiLes Davis), punk icons NakEd Raygun, Chris Chandler (Beatnutz), and Dana Hall (Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra).

Percussionist, Bob Rummage, maintains a versatile schedule of performances with a variety of Chicago ensembles ranging from Rob Parton’s Jazz Tech Big Band to the music of the Mark Colby Quartet and Howard Levy to Andy Brown, while also appearing with many internationally known musicians such as Dizzy Gillespie, Nat Adderly, Benny Golson, Buddy DeFranco, Bela Fleck, Mose Allison. Recording credits include sessions for Cheez-Its, Gallo wines and AT&T as well as appearances with Frank Mantooth, Steve Weist, Rob Parton, Colby/Caruso and Bob Lark.

Bassist, Jim Cox, started his career with a 5 year stint with the legendary Earl "Fatha" Hines. Having appeared with legend Marian McPartland for over 20 years, Jim has shared his passion for the bass during concerts and nightclub acts with many well known singer including: Rosemary Clooney, Michael Feinstein, Debbie Boone, Judy Roberts, Spider Saloff, The Maxwell Street Klezmer Band and jazz mandolinist Don Stiernberg. As a studio musician Jim has appeared on over 100 LPS/CDS and currently teaches at Lake Forest College and North Central College in Naperville.
