Ricky Ritzel's Broadway is fashioned after the 1970s Sylvia Fine Kaye series on PBS: Musical Comedy Tonight, and features musical numbers along with wry commentary by the maestro himself. The Nov.19th performance will include three musicals from 1971: The Grass Harp, with Music by Claibe Richardson and Lyrics and Book by Kenward Elmslie; Jesus Christ Superstar with Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Lyrics by Tim Rice; and 70, Girls, 70 with Music by John Kander, Lyrics by Fred Ebb and a Book by Fred Ebb and Norman L. Martin adapted by Joe Masteroff. The all star cast is: ?#Bob Diamond?, ?Tommy J Dose?, ?Barbara Malley?,? Tara Moran?, ?Aaron Morishita?, ?Sidney Myer?, ?Alison Nusbaum?, Ricky Ritzel, ?#Jay Rogers?, ??Jon Satrom?, & ?Lennie Watts?.

70, Girls, 70 is based on the play "Breath of Spring" by Peter Coke. In the show, a group of elderly residents in a New York nursing home organize themselves into a gang of fur thieves, stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. It opened on April 15, 1971 at the Broadhurst Theater starring Hans Conreid and Mildred Natwick.

The Grass Harp is based on the novel and play of the same name by Truman Capote. The story revolves around two eccentric sisters at odds with each other over a miracle elixer. The score has been described as "ravishing." The Broadway production opened on November 2, 1971 at the Martin Beck Theater starring Barbara Cook and Ruth Ford, with Karen Morrow as Babylove.

Jesus Christ Superstar opened on October 12, 1971 at the Mark Hellinger Theater, where it ran for 711 performances. Borrowing from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, the musical tells the story of the last seven days of Jesus Christ's life.The original cast starred Jeff Fenholt as Jesus, Ben Vereen as Judas and Bob Bingham as Caiaphas, and produced the worldwide pop hit, "I Don't Know How To Love Him."
