The Broadway at Birdland concert series was thrilled to present singer/songwriter Amanda McBroom ("The Rose"), who made her Birdland debut with a concert celebration of her new CD, "Voices" on Monday, June 5.
Singer-songwriter and concert artist, Amanda McBroom has been called "...the greatest cabaret performer of her generation, an urban poet who writes like an angel and has a voice to match." She brought her new show, "Voices," to Birdland for one show, celebrating the release of her new recording, "Voices," on Gecko Records. The title is based on one of McBroom's songs, "Voices That Come Through The Wall" (Amanda McBroom, GorDon Hunt, Rand Bishop). McBroom was accompanied by her Musical Director and frequent writing partner, Michele Brourman, and The Amazing Her Band East, which included Jered Egan on bass and Eli Zoller on guitar.
