There are not too many places in the world where you can see and hear music performances like the concert/shows produced in Jazz at Lincoln Center's Appel Room. Before the music starts you get to see one of the most exciting views NYC has to offer of Central Park & Columbus Circle. Then just as you're silently singing "can't take my eyes off of you" the off-stage announcement is made..... "and now ladies and gentlemen, the one and only Michael Feinstein."

Ella On My Mind is Michael's final show of this year's series (his 7th year) and it was a perfect blend of spectacular vocalists, extraordinary historic orchestrations, played by seasoned big band musicians, and led by brilliant Tedd Firth. It's hosted by the "one and only" Michael Feinstein. The perfect acoustics of the Appel Room reverberated with the magnificent voices of Michael's guest artists Nicole Henry, Jessie Mueller and Vuyo Sotashe and of course Mr. Feinstein. Ella Fitzgerald is probably the greatest singer of American Music and the songs that she immortalized were entrusted to a group of musicians and singers that were truly worthy of performing such important music. If that ain't enough, Michael is one of the wittiest and knowledgeable hosts that one can ever have on a stage. A great finale for the Jazz & Popular Song Series.
