The Broadway at Birdland concert series presents Tony Award Nominated actress and singer Anita Gillette is presenting two evenings of music and memories while taking what's being described as "an intimate, touching and hilarious look behind the scenes from Broadway to Hollywood" in her new autobiographical one-woman show "After All." The first event took place last night, September 24 & and the second will happen on Monday, October 1 at 7pm at Birdland (315 West 44 Street, NYC).

"After All" takes audiences backstage with Gillette as a young showgirl starting out in the original cast of Gypsy with Ethel Merman, and into the worlds of David Merrick and Gower Champion in Carnival. Gillette also reminisces through a career that includes a Tony nominated performance in the Neil Simon comedy Chapter Two. In major feature films, she's played roles such as Ms. Mona in "Moonstruck," and on TV shows, including "30 Rock," in which she plays Tina Fey's mother.

Stephen Sorokoff Stephen's life seems to have always revolved around a camera and a piano. He studied at Manhattan School of Music and performed in the "Borsht Belt" during college vacations, where in the true DIRTY DANCING tradition he met his wife Eda. Stephen was a Board Member of the First All Children's Theater and his wife, a classical pianist, is a Board Member of Barrington Stage Co. In between he made time to be CEO of a multi national machinery company and President of a domestic Textile Mfg. Co. In retirement, he now takes pictures of his 5 grandchildren and various other performers.
