FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post, will continue its all-star Spring 2010 season with the debut engagement of Grammy Award nominated vocalist Marilyn Maye. Performances will be from March 2 to 13, 2010.

Her recent local appearances have been received with rave reviews and full houses. In the New
York Times, Stephen Holden said "Ms. Maye is one who dives into jazz and sings with a vocal stamina remarkable for any performer of any age". According to Rex Reed in The New York Observer, "there is simply nobody around with more talent, personality and class." Her new show, "In Love Again" - created exclusively for Feinstein's - features her signature hits "I Love You Today" by her mentor Steve Allen; "Cabaret," which was her RCA hit recording even before the Broadway musical opened; and "Step To The Rear," which she performed for four years on national commercials for Lincoln Mercury; and one of her most requested songs, "Guess Who I Saw Today." The show runs at the Regency Hotel (540 Park Avenue at 61st Street).

Marilyn Maye was dubbed "Super Singer" by the late Johnny Carson. Ella Fitzgerald called her "the greatest white female singer in the world." The Houston Chronicle termed her "a National Treasure." "Too Late Now," recorded on her RCA The Lamp Is Low album, was chosen by the Smithsonian Institute and included in its 20th Century Permanent Collection. Add 76 appearances on "The Tonight Show," a Grammy Award nomination in the mid-1960s as Best New Artist, a bevy of awards reflecting her showmanship, and you have an illustrious singing career that is still going strong after a lifetime spent entertaining audiences.

In her early years, Marilyn was heard regularly on the radio, worked in a variety of nightclubs around the midwest, and was ultimately discovered by Steve Allen, who invited her to appear on his primetime television show. Soon after, Marilyn signed a recording contract with RCA which resulted in seven albums and 34 singles. In 1966, after hearing her at the Living Room
in New York, Ed McMahon invited her to appear on "The Tonight Show," starring Johnny Carson and she holds the singer's record of 76 appearances. In the 1970s, Marilyn made the transition to theater, starring in productions of Can Can, Follies and Jerry Herman's blockbuster musicals Mame
and Hello, Dolly!

Two years ago, in an ironic twist of fate, though she had never stopped working, Marilyn was once again "discovered" when she appeared as a special guest of the annual Cabaret Convention at Lincoln Center. A series of glowingly-reviewed New York performances were followed by more concerts around the country. As a result of this resurgence in popularity, Marilyn has never been busier. She is the winner of the 2008 and the 2009 "Nightlife Critics Award as "Outstanding Vocalist", she is the recipient of the Back Stage Bistro Lifetime Achievement Award, and the 2009 MAC award, "Celebrity of the Year". In November 2009 the Bruekelein Institute presented Marilyn
their Guadium Award, "Illuminating the Horizon of Human Experience". More information is available at www.marilynmaye.com.
