Playing the piano and singing an acclaimed repertoire of all original witty and moving songs, ex-Vegas nightclub chanteuse Miss Hope Springs (created, written and performed by Mr Ty Jeffries) brings her laugh-out-loud-move-you-to-tears one woman West End smash-hit show to NYC for the very first time.

Still wearing the sequins she left the Pink Pelican Casino with in 1972, you'll hear Hope's unique blend of finger snapping pop, romantic rhumbas, sassy bossa novas and smouldering torch songs. And between numbers she spills the beans with hysterical tales from her disastrous love life and 'Ritz to the pits' career.

Star of London's premiere cabaret room The Crazy Coqs, Hope is the towering blonde alter- ego of award winning composer, lyricist, pianist and comic actor Ty Jeffries (son of the late British screen legend Lionel Jeffries Camelot/The Notorious Landlady/Chitty Chitty Bang Bang). Ty's formative years living in Tinsel Town lend authenticity to his multilayered, full rounded portrayal of never-quite-made-it show business trouper Hope. ' When I was a kid Shirley MacLaine would come to dinner and I actually danced with Fred Astaire down Sunset Blvd one night,' he recalls 'it was not your normal childhood by any means'...

Ty is a classically trained pianist (Purcell School London) a published songwriter (Elton John's Rocket Music) and has worked with artists as varied as Neneh Cherry, Vangelis and Chaka Khan. Ty continues his hugely successful residency now in it's 4th year, at the West End's premier cabaret room, The Crazy Coqs.

Miss Hope Springs, and her Hot Jazz Combo on bass and percussion, performs at The Metropolitan Room, 34 W 22nd St, New York, NY 10010 on March 24th and April 14th at 9.30PM. Tickets from $25.00.
