The Manhattan Association of Cabarets & Clubs is proud to announce the performers and award recipients for the 2nd Annual "MAC presents THEY WRITE THE SONGS," to be held this Sunday, November 17th at 4pm at the Engelman Recital Hall at the Baruch Performing Arts Center (Lexington Avenue at 25th Street).

Performers include: Kenita Miller, Margot Seibert, Scott Coulter, Lorinda Lisitza, Jason "Sweet Tooth" Williams, Angela Shultz, Stacie Perlman, Steven Ray Watkins, Rob Langeder, Karen Mack, Jeremy Morse, Marcy Heisler, Zina Goldrich, and Lois Morton.

These performers will be singing the songs of the previously announced featured songwriters (who will all be present at the show to present their work) Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty, Marcy Heisler & Zina Goldrich, Joe Iconis, Sam Carner & Derek Gregor, Bobby Cronin, Lois Morton, and Andrew Sotomayor.

The show will also feature an award presentation and performance of work written by MAC's newest award recipients: The Dottie Burman Award will be presented to Amanda Yesnowitz & Deborah Abramson. The John Wallowitch Award will be presented to Shaina Taub.

This annual show presented by MAC features the work of selected songwriters, highlighting both those who are well-established, and those who are on the rise and creating great new work.

The event will culminate with an interview of songwriters Lynn Ahrens & Stephen Flaherty conducted by host Julie Gold, and featuring a performance of several songs written by this Tony Award, Drama Desk Award and Olivier Award winning songwriting team.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $30 after Fri 11/15. There will be a reception at the theater immediately following the performance and all ticket holders, songwriters and performers participating in the event are invited to attend at no additional charge.
