A treasure trove of amazing movie themes and songs that didn't reach the winners' circle on Oscar Night! "Lost Movie Themes" is a celebration of the songwriters for whom it was an honor just to be nominated, interpreted by some of Broadway's most exciting talent. An evening of the unforgettable, the forgotten and the egregiously overlooked, filled with stories about the songs and the making of the movies themselves.

Directed and hosted by Eric Michael Gillett (Broadway's Sweet Smell of Success, The Frogs, Kiss Me, Kate), and starring Karen Akers (Broadway's Nine, Grand Hotel), Mandy Gonzalez (Broadway's Wicked, In the Heights, Dance of the Vampires) and Jarrod Spector (Broadway's Beautiful, Jersey Boys). Featuring Stephen Mitchell Brown (Broadway's Jekyll & Hyde), Melanie Vaughan (Broadway's Parade, Sunday in the Park with George) with Leah Jennings, Eva Kantor, and Alexis Fishman (NYMF's 2012 "Next Broadway Sensation"). Special guests will include Carolyn Montgomery-Forant and 2013 MetroStar Lauren Stanford.

Musical director and pianist is Don Rebic. Jonathan Kantor is on reeds.

54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, is the new performance venue in the grand tradition of New York City nightlife. A few blocks from the heart of Times Square and just below the legendary Studio 54, 54 Below is a classically designed state-of-the art nightclub in the theatre district that hosts audiences with warmth and style. The venue provides a food and beverage menu from early evening through the wee hours of the morning that is worthy of the world-class entertainment on the stage. In their description of 54 Below, The New York Times writes "the club has the intimacy of a large living room with unimpeded views and impeccable sound; there is not a bad seat. Its sultry after-hours ambience is enhanced by brocade- patterned wall panels planted with orange-shaded lanterns. And the atmosphere is warmer and sexier than in Manhattan's other major supper clubs." 54 Below is located at 254 West 54th Street.

"Lost Movie Themes: Songs that Lost the Oscar" is set for 54 Below on March 2, 2014, 5pm. Food and beverage minimum: $25.
