Jennifer Damiano and Devin Ilaw Join Columbia University Songbook at 54 Below Tonight

54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Columbia University Songbook tonight, March 10th at 9:30pm. Columbia University Songbook is dedicated to showcasing material created by past and present musical theatre luminaries who have been affiliated with Columbia University throughout the years.

Featured in this concert are classic works by songwriting partners Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein/Lorenz Hart and John Kander and Fred Ebb, as well as contemporary works by songwriting partners Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey (If/Then, Next to Normal); Kait Kerrigan and Brian Lowdermilk (Henry and Mudge); Benjamin Velez and Katie Hathaway (Afterland); composer Jeanine Tesori; playwright and librettist David Henry Hwang (Aida, Flower Drum Song, M. Butterfly); composer/lyricists Rick Hip Flores (We Will Rock You) and Peter Lerman (Brooklynite), and Columbia University's oldest performing arts tradition, The Varsity Show. The evening will include selected material from well-known and beloved shows to material that has only been heard within the campus gates!

The line-up of performers include Jennifer Damiano (Next to Normal, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark), Devin Ilaw (Les Miserables, M. Butterfly), Megan McGinnis (Little Women, Les Miserables), Donna Vivino (Wicked, Hairspray, Les Miserables), Emily Walton (Peter and the Starcatcher, August: Osage County), Lauren Cipoletti (Heathers the Musical), Brittany Coleman (The Two Gentleman of Verona at The Old Globe), Michael Anthony Walsh (The Count of Monte Cristo, Bill W. And Dr. Bob), Adrienne Paquin (Ogunquit Playhouse's Young Frankenstein, Gloucester Stage's Carnival) and Columbia University's The Varsity Show.

Tom Kitt, Benjamin Velez and Katie Hathaway, and Peter Lerman are also scheduled to perform a special selection of their songs at the concert.

The concert is produced by Danielle Gautier and directed by Laura Pietropinto, with musical direction by Rick Hip-Flores and associate musical direction by Solomon Hoffman.

Columbia University Songbook plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Tuesday, March 10th at 9:30pm. There is a $25 - $60 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum.
