Beginning tonight, September 12, the hit "For The Record" series will present a two-month limited engagement of their critically-acclaimed evening inspired by the films of Baz Luhrmann at West Hollywood's DBA (www.dbahollywood.com). "For The Record: Baz Luhrmann" will run thru November 23 and will offer audiences an elevated and completely reimagined production of the show that Angelinos have fallen in love with time and time again.

The show will run every Friday - Sunday at 8:00 p.m with tickets ranging from $35 - $55, and can be purchased at DBAHollywood.com.

Harold Zidler and his Diamond Dogs take audience members on a thrilling ride into the cinematic and musical mind of famed director Baz Luhrmann. The star-crossed lovers of "Romeo + Juliet," "Strictly Ballroom," "Moulin Rouge" and "The Great Gatsby" collide in this immersive theatrical concert, where iconic music and moments from the movies spring to life. Performed by a rotating cast of L.A.'s leading artists from music, stage and screen, the immersive cabaret features an epic soundtrack that includes "Lady Marmalade", "Kissing You", "Love Is In The Air", "Crazy In Love", and much more.

The cast will feature Janel Parrish (Pretty Little Liars) who can also be seen on the upcoming season of ABC's Dancing With The Stars, Rumer Willis (90210, House Bunny), Barrett Foa (NCIS: LA), Ginifer King (Haunted Hathaways), Milena Govich (Finding Carter), TV Carpio (Across The Universe), Lindsey Gort (Carrie Diaries), Jackie Seiden (Jersey Boys), Lindsay Pearce (Glee), Peter Porte (Baby Daddy), Broadway and Independent Recording Artist Shoshana Bean and also from Broadway: Constantine Rousouli (Wicked), Patrick Mulvey (Billy Elliot), PJ Griffith (American Idiot) Brian Justin Crum (Wicked, We Will Rock You), Ruby Lewis (We Will Rock You), Joanna Jones, Kiara Ana Perico, Olivia Harris, Jason Paige, James Byous, Alec Cyganowski, Ciaran McCarthy, Payson Lewis and Steve Mazurek.

Created by Shane Scheel, Christopher Lloyd Bratten and Anderson Davis, "For The Record: Baz Luhrmann" reinvents cabaret for a new generation. Choreography by Derek Ferguson (NBC's Smash, Broadway's Wonderland) and Sumie Maeda. Christopher Lloyd Bratten serves as Music Director and leads an expanded six piece band. Directed and adapted by Anderson Davis. Produced by Shane Scheel and Siobhan O'Neill for Ad Astra Live.

When the series originally began in a 60-seat bar space in Los Feliz, the show creators had no idea that it would grow to be such a huge hit. And while popularity grew in Los Angeles, performances around the country only added to the buzz abroad, with shows in New York, Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, SXSW in Austin, TX and "For The Record: Tarantino" featured this summer at the Montreal Jazz Festival.

The elevated experience at DBA, a 6000 square foot next level neighborhood cultural center hosting the most vital and relevant live music, DJ's, spoken word and theatrical events, accommodates significantly larger crowds - more than 220 people per show - and enhanced production values across the board. Besides more seats, DBA offers completely unobstructed views, improved sound and lights, an expanded 6-piece band, tiered staging, gourmet snack offerings, and a cocktail program crafted specifically for the production.

As a series, For The Record has been featured on CBS, Fox, ABC, CW, and NBC. The Los Angeles Times described For The Record as "searingly visceral... the movies sing!" Entertainment Weekly said the show was "cutting edge," and Los Angeles Magazine said, "Not only has For the Record cemented its position as one of the most entertaining shows in Los Angeles, it also has the distinction of being one of the most daring."
