"It Helps to Sing About It" returns to the Metropolitan Room after an enthusiastic reception last September. Writing for Cabaret Scenes, Randolph E. Eigenbrode called it "CLOSER THAN EVER for the new millennium--full of musical brio and dizzying honesty."

The revue features songs by composer/lyricist team Binyumen ("Ben") Schaechter and Dan Kael. Ben and Dan's Off-Broadway credits include "That's Life!" (Outer Critics Circle Award nomination) and "Pets!" (Dramatic Publishing).

"It Helps to Sing About It" is directed by MAC and Bistro Award-winning director Sara Louise Lazarus and features seasoned Broadway and cabaret performers Celia Berk, Nora Davis, Joshua Lance Dixon, Marissa Mulder, David Perlman, and Kelli Rabke.

"It Helps to Sing About It" will have two performances at the Metropolitan Room on two consecutive Sundays. The first performance will be on Sunday, March 12th at 4pm and the second will be on Sunday, March 19th at 4pm. Visit www.metropolitanroom.com to purchase tickets online or call the reservation line at 212-206-0440 to reserve seats. Tickets cost $20 plus a $25 food or drink minimum.
