Jacques Brel RETURNS ...Brel, Blau, Shuman and Jouannest en Cabaret, now in its 30th month at The Triad, 158 West 72nd Street, NYC announced a special tribute to Brel, the man, on his birthday, April 8th at 7pm.

Presented by Dan Whitten, Mark Beigelman, Peter Martin and Tiger Theatricals, Jacques Brel RETURNS... is a cabaret production featuring highlights from Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris as well as Brel songs not in the original score. Rare footage of Brel, multimedia montages and a talkback hosted by producer Dan Whitten will highlight the event.

The cast features Ereni Sevasti (Carnival! at Kennedy Center), Arlo Hill (The Phantom of the Opera), Sam Ludwig (Jacques Brel at MetroStage), Marissa Mulder (2012 MetroStar Cabaret Winner) and music director Rick Hip-Flores (Billy Elliott and Jacques Brel).

Staged by Dan Whitten, who produced the hit revival and CD in 2006/2007, and featuring musical direction by Rick Hip-Flores, the evening features Jacques Brel favorites including "Carousel," "My Childhood," "If We Only Have Love," "Ne Me Quitte Pas," "The Bulls," "Jackie," "Amsterdam" and "I Loved".

"Brel's music has endured for more than half a century and we wanted the occasion of his birthday to extend beyond the singing of songs, and into the man behind the music. Having produced the 2006/2007 revival of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris at The Zipper,it's been rewarding to revisit this material with such an exciting cast of artists," says creator Dan Whitten. Our rotating cast has included many of the performers from 2006/07 including Robert Cuccioli, Natascia, Diaz, Rodney Hicks, Gay Marshall, Jim Stanek and Tamra Hayden.
