Coming up this week, 54 BELOW, the performance venue located just below the legendary Studio 54 at 254 West 54th Street, presents some of the brightest stars from Broadway, cabaret, jazz and beyond, including Tony Award winner Donna McKechnie, jazz, funk and R&B singer Alex Burgnon and Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris.

Donna McKechnie, Jan. 2, 3, 6 at 7PM & Jan. 4 & 5 at 8:30PM:
Tony-winner Donna McKechnie graces the stage of 54 Below in a brand new show: a musical déjà vu celebrating the scintillating 70′s in New York City - the heyday of Studio 54. McKechnie, best known the world over for creating the role of Cassie in A Chorus Line, is also well-known for her Broadway appearances in State Fair, On the Town, Company, Promises, Promises and How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. For these five very special performances, Donna (Broadway Royalty!) will salute this remarkable era via the music of Jim Croce, Peter Allen, Marvin Hamlisch, Billy Strayhorn, and Stephen Sondheim, with arrangements and music direction by John McDaniel. Cover charge: $30-$40. $25 food and beverage minimum.

ALEX BUGNON, Jan. 3 at 9:30PM:
The Bugnon sound is a white hot, slow burning mixture of contemporary jazz, funk and R&B with a dash of gospel thrown in for good measure. Alex grew up in Montreux, Switzerland, home of the world renowned Montreux Jazz Festival, and has gone on to delight audiences worldwide as both pianist and composer with his sophisticated musical style - an exotic blend or rhythms with haunting, soulful refrains. His many recordings have graced the Top 40 R&B charts many times over, and he is the recipient of two Soul Train Music Awards. Kick off 2013 with Alex and his swingin' trio for an evening of smooth tunes and sultry melodies. Cover charge $25-35. $25 food & beverage minimum.

Michael Cerveris & LOOSE CATTLE, Jan. 4 at 11PM:
Come join the herd after the curtain comes down in the theatre district as Michael stampedes uptown with the cattle, straight from his fancy Broadway day job. 54 Below is delighted to welcome back Broadway's own Michael Cerveris for four very special performances only, featuring him and his band, the magnificent Loose Cattle. Broadway was introduced to Michael in The Who's Tommy. Since then, audiences have embraced him in leading roles in Titanic, Assassins (Tony Award!), Sweeney Todd, Lovemusik, and, among others, his current Tony-nominated performance as Juan Peron in Evita. Just a rare and intimate, down-home performance by one of the Rialto's best... getting back to his roots! Cover charge $25-35. $25 food & beverage minimum.
