On Thursday evening, May 9, 2013, at 9:30PM, The Metropolitan Room will present multi-award winning entertainer, Dennis McNeil in his cabaret show, "Me and My Big Mouth," with Musical Director, James Followell.

After a long absence in New York City, Dennis McNeil returns with song and story about travels and performances with the likes of Sammy Cahn, Hal David, Lalo Schifrin, John Raitt, and the Grateful Dead. Whether singing standards like "Teach Me Tonight" and "Come Fly with Me" pop tunes like "Alfie" and "Moondance" or even a tease of "La Donna e Mobile," Dennis ties it all together through the web of his life and travels. "I have had this great singing career which has taken me around the world," McNeil Says, "and truly grateful to be able to share these experiences and songs with a new audience."

Dennis McNeil is no stranger to the concert stage, having performed in every state and around the world with symphonies, opera companies, regional theaters, and national tours. McNeil, who has sung for 5 United States Presidents and entertained many dignitaries including a President of Mexico, 6 US Secretaries of State, 8 Supreme Court Justices, has also sung with the Grateful Dead, Steve Miller, Bruce Hornsby, Michael Feinstein and Lionel Ritchie. As a leading tenor at the New York City Opera he was awarded for his performance in the New York Stage Premiere of Michael Tippet's Opera, "A Midsummer Marriage." He was also a National Winner of the Metropolitan Opera's National Council.

Recently voted Best Male Cabaret Artist by Broadway World Los Angeles, McNeil has been garnering great reviews and happy sell out audiences. Les Traub of Cabaret Scenes Magazine writes, "With a voice that is a pleasure to listen to and a wealth of show biz stories to draw upon, McNeil is primed to become a cabaret staple." Don Grigware writes for Broadway World, "McNeil's whole demeanor in performance could serve as a textbook for young cabaret singers."
