Actress/Singer Danielle Wade, who burst on the Canadian scene in 2012 with her weekly television appearances-and win-of Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Over the Rainbow: Search for the Next Dorothy," going on to play Dorothy for the Toronto run and North American tour of The Wizard Of Oz, is teaming up with New York songwriters Sam Carner and Derek Gregor to make her solo concert debut on Monday, October 13 at 9:30pm at New York's Metropolitan Room, 34 W. 22nd St.

Prior to Wade's television and stage success in Toronto, Carner & Gregor discovered her at a University of Windsor (Ontario) master class and featured her in their 4th annual "Barely Legal Show-Tune Extravaganza" (her US debut). In an exciting one-night concert, fresh off her stint as Dorothy in the North American tour, Wade returns to New York and the American songwriters who first discovered her.

"Danielle is an incredible talent," said Gregor. "There's no one I'd rather have sing a whole night of our material." "She's captivating," added Carner, "She has an amazing voice, but what really sets her apart is her ability to tell a story. When watching her perform, you feel she's living the story completely. She has remarkable power, but also remarkable subtlety."

Carner & Gregor have five MAC-nominated songs to their name, including new cabaret standards like "Sing, But Don't Tell," "Wall Lovin'," and "Make It Here." Their musical Unlock'd played an extended run last summer at the Duke Theatre in Times Square and their musical Island Song has had developmental workshops and workshop productions around the country and world. They will be writers in residence at the Goodspeed Festival of New Musicals this January.

"Sam and Derek's work is just stunning," said Wade, "It's complex and powerful and hilarious. It captures things you've thought and felt and experienced, but never heard put into a song. And the music just sticks-and rocks!"

Wade will sing an entire set of Carner & Gregor's work, alongside several Broadway guest stars to be announced.
