Daniel Plimpton will be collaborating with Alicia Krakauer in NEXT Concert Series: Bridge the Gap (fun fact - they're cousins!) He is currently playing Jimmy in Thoroughly Modern Millie at the Engeman Theatre in Long Island, and was previously seen in the national tours of Book of Mormon and Spring Awakening.

The NEXT concert series has run both in the US and in the UK as a platform for new musical theatre writers to share their work.

Now, in the next phase of this concert series, writers from both sides of the pond will unite to share their work-featuring brilliant talent from the New York theatre community.

This first volume of Bridge the Gap will showcase the work of British musical theatre writers, Mark Allcorn, Finn Anderson, Tim Connor, Danny Davies, Gus Gowland, James Michalos, and Eamonn O'Dwyer.

Plimpton will join a cast that features the dazzling vocal stylings of Maddie Shea Baldwin (Bright Star), Preston Truman Boyd (She Loves Me, On the Twentieth Century, Bullets Over Broadway, Big Fish), Chad Carstarphen (In the Heights Nat'l Tour, Beth and Charly), Marisa Dargahi, David R. Gordon, Jennifer Haining, F. Michael Haynie (Wicked, Dogfight, NBC's Peter Pan LIVE!), Melissa Rose Hirsch (The Bad Years), Lizzie Klemperer (Bright Star), Alicia Krakauer, Angelo McDonough, Molly Model, T.J. Newton, Christina Sajous (Holler if You Hear Me, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, Baby It's You, American Idiot), Ariana Sepúlveda, and Mathieu Whitman (A Christmas Carol Nat'l Tour, Pinkalicious the Musical), with additional performers to be announced!

A portion of the evening's proceeds will go to a charity for mental health awareness, which will also be announced this week. Follow along our rehearsal journey with the hashtag #songstoheal.

The evening is co-produced by Alicia Krakauer and Megan Minutillo. Minutillo directs, with musical direction by Brad Gardner.

BRIDGE THE GAP plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on June 6th at 9:30pm. There is a $25-$35 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum.
