Ciara Renee Joins Cast of MUSEMATCH VII: SONGS FOR SOPHIA at Feinstein's/54 Below

Ciara Renee of the CW's Legends of Tomorrow and Alan Menken/Stephen Schwartz's The Hunchback of Notre Dame and A.J. Shively of Bright Star will join the cast of MuseMatch VII: Songs for Sophia, an evening that seeks to answer the question, "What happens when 15 composers go on a blind date with 15 singers?," will be presented Saturday June 18th, 2016 , at 11:30 PM at 54 Below. Produced by Bill Coyne and Ariel Dobshinsky, all proceeds will benefit Sophia Maglione, an 8-year old girl who is fighting her second bout of Medulloblastoma.

"To fulfill on theater's intention of touching and inspiring people, we have paired 15 composers with 15 singers on a musical theater blind-date where the pairs discuss their strengths and weaknesses, passions, fears, the composers write a song specifically for and inspired by the singer; with the intention of reaching new artistic territory while concurrently contributing to a little girl in need." To date, MuseMatch: A Musical Theater Blind Date has created over 90 new musical theater collaborations and songs on the way to raising thousands of dollars for The Boys Club of NY, The Trevor Project, Zara Aina, Manitou Experience Camps, Sing For Your Seniors and The Siena House Women's Shelter of the Bronx. MuseMatch will cross the 100th song mark with this concert. Past Participants include: Bryce Pinkham of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Erik Liberman currently starring opposite Patti Lupone and Christine Ebersole in WARPAINT at the Goodman Theatre; as well as writers Joe Iconis (NBC's SMASH and BE MORE CHILL), and Jonathan Larson Grant winners, Nikko Benson and Sam Salmond.

Composers include Karl Hinze, Seth Christenfeld &James K. Ballard, Kristen Lee Rosenfeld, Kate Yeager, Sarah Ziegler & Nicky Phillips, Doug Brandt, Brett Macias, F. Bill Coyne and Ariel Dobshinsky produce the concert series, with Stephanie J. Cowan as the program coordinator. Kristen Lee Rosenfeld serves as the Musical Director leading the MuseMatch Band of Mike Rosengarten, Tom Jorgensen and Brendan O'Grady
