Cabaret Cares the hit cabaret series that  benefits both Broadway Cares and Help Is On The Way Today returns to the beautiful Beechman Theatre on August 18th. The series produced and created by cabaret producer Joseph Macchia brings together the best of the Broadway and Cabaret communities.
 
The series first debuted in 2005 as a benefit for just Broadway Cares it featured cabaret shows from such Broadway shows as Wicked, The Producers,Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as well as cabaret performers Ricky Ritzel,Leslie Anderson and Sue Matsuki.
 
After a year hiatus Macchia decided to bring the series back to the Laurie Beechman theatre this time the series would benefit two AIDS organization in New York City,Broadway Cares and Help Is On The Way Today an organization founded by Macchia to help and assist children living with HIV and AIDS in New York City.The series ran at the Beechman from July 2007 til April 2008. The series ended with a gala evening and  announced that a new record had been set having raised over $17,000.
 
Cabaret Cares returns for its third season at the Becchman on August 18  the evening will be hosted by John Treacy Egan of The Little Mermaid. Also performing that evening will be Marty Thomas of Xanadu,Laura Osnes of Grease,Robert Fowler of The Producers,as well as Peter Mac and Elyse Beyer of the upcoming Off Broadway Play Judy and Me.
