Award-winning Latina stage and screen actress Bianca Marroquin (Broadway's Chicago, TV's "Mira Quien Baila" and "Bailando por un Sueño") will debut her new concert act at Broadway's legendary supper club 54 Below (254 W. 54th St., Cellar) on Wednesday, July 9 at 9:30 p.m.

The one-night-only concert event will feature songs from Marroquin's newly released debut CD El Mundo Era Mio (The World Was Mine), plus a variety of songs from her musical theatre career on Broadway and in her native Mexico City.

Hispanic audiences are intimately acquainted with Bianca Marroquin. As a triple threat entertainer -- singer, dancer and actress -- she is currently starring is Roxie Hart in Broadway's Tony Award-winning hit musical Chicago, a role she has also performed on tour throughout the U.S., winning the Helen Hayes Award for Best Actress in a Musical at Washington's Kennedy Center.

For her performance as Roxie Hart in the Mexican premiere of Chicago, she won five awards from the Mexican Critics Association, including Best Actress. Her other theatre credits at home in Mexico City include Beauty and the Beast, Rent, The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, The Vagina Monologues and The Phantom of the Opera.

On Broadway, she is the first Mexican actress to ever headline a show -- and last April her contract as Chicago's Roxie Hart was renewed for another full year. She has also performed on Broadway in In the Heights and The Pajama Game, opposite Harry Connick Jr.

This spring, Marroquin was named the first-ever National Ambassador for Viva Broadway, the new audience development partnership with the Hispanic community, created by The Broadway League to help bridge the world of Broadway with Latino audiences around the country.

On television, Marroquin can currently be seen throughout the U.S. and all Spanish-speaking countries as a judge on the new Televisa/Univision primetime dance competition "Bailando por un Sueño."

Marroquin served as one of three judges during all four seasons of Univision's top-rated dance competition series "Mira Quien Baila," the Spanish-language franchise of "Dancing with the Stars." She also judged Televisa's reality series "Pequeños Gigantes." Televisa also cast her as the main protagonist in telenovela "Esperanza del Corazón."

Tickets for Bianca Marroquin at 54 Below are $25-$55 (cover charge), plus a $25 food/beverage minimum. Doors open at 8:45 p.m.

Tickets can now be purchased online at www.54below.com. On the day of the performance after 2 p.m., remaining tickets are only available by calling 54 Below at 646-476-3551.
