Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestra's begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven- o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Lindsay Mendez & Marco Paguia

Lindsay Mendez and Marco Paguia met in 2010, and discovered a mutual love and passion for jazz. Lindsay and Marco draw from an eclectic mix of music, reimagining songs from popular music in the familiar setting of a jazz piano trio and vocalist. Their vast catalogue is comprised of the singers and songwriters that inspire them, including Alexi Murdoch,Alicia Keys, The Beatles, Feist, Fiona Apple, Gladys Knight,Janis Joplin, Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell, Lenny Kravitz, Macy Gray, Martin Sexton, Peter Gabriel, Pink Floyd, The Police,Stevie Wonder, and U2.

Margo Seibert: Busy Being Free

Metropolitan Room's 7th Annual MetroStar Talent Challenge

Open to solo singers and vocal duos of all ages, backgrounds and styles who have not played a major engagement at the Metropolitan Room, which is defined as a 4-show prime-time run of the same show in a fixed period. This year's guest judges, who join the permanent jury after the contest's three weeks of trials include Bill Boggs, Carole J. Bufford, Eric Comstock, Barbara Fasano, Lauren Fox,Will Friedwald, Peter Haas, Kevin Scott Hall, David Kenney, Lina Koutrakos, Sharon McNight, Marieann Meringolo,Marissa Mulder, David Noh, T. A Conversation with Music with Stephen Schwartz & Jim Brochu

This summer, two of Broadway's legendary composers sit down with Drama Desk Award-winner Jim Brochu (Zero Hour, Character Man, The Big Voice: God or Merman) to discuss their life's work. Sheldon Harnick (Fiddler on the Roof, She Loves Me, The Apple Tree) & Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Pippin, Godspell) are collectively the backbone of the Broadway showtune. One by one, Brochu will explore their creative lives and inspirations, histories and even their futures. Interspersed throughout the conversation, we'll welcome some of Broadway & cabaret's most esteemed voices who will present some of each composer's most treasured compositions. Performers on August 3 include Darius de Haas (Rent, Carousel, original cast of Children of Eden), Michael McCorry Rose (Wicked) & Kelli Rabke (Les Miz, original cast of Children of Eden).
