Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City.

Aaron Lazar: "Look For Me In the Songs"

The Broadway at Birdland concert series is proud to announce that Broadway leading man Aaron Lazar will perform "Look For Me In The Songs" on Monday, July 13 at 7pm.

With one of the most versatile voices on Broadway, Aaron will perform timeless favorites from the Great American Songbook to Motown, from Broadway's greatest hits to Billy Joel. Highlights include "Night and Day," "If I Loved You," "New York State of Mind," "You'll Never Find," "You're All I Need to Get By," "Something's Coming," "Music of the Night," and many more.

Aaron's nine Broadway credits include The Last Ship starring opposite 16-time Grammy Award winner Sting, the first ever Broadway revivals of Les Miserables and Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music starring opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones and Angela Lansbury, the world premieres of A Tale of Two Cities, and Impressionism opposite Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen, Sir Trevor Nunn's revival of Oklahoma!, the critically acclaimed Lincoln Center production of The Light in the Piazza, and the long running phenomenon The Phantom of the Opera and Mamma Mia!.

On film and television, Aaron's credits include: "The Wolf of Wall Street," "This is Where I Leave You," "J. Edgar," "The Notorious Bettie Page," "The Blacklist," "The Good Wife," "The Following," "White Collar," "A Gifted Man," "The Onion News Network," and "Ugly Betty."

Aaron has also been a guest artist with some of the world's greatest symphonies including: The New York Philharmonic, The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, The English National Opera Orchestra, The Boston Pops under Keith Lockhart, the National Symphony Orchestra under the late Marvin Hamlisch, and multiple appearances with The New York Pops and the National Symphony Orchestra under Steven Reineke at Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center.

Broadway Loves Katy Perry

On July 13th over a dozen of Broadway's most distinctive voices will celebrate larger-than-life recording artist Katy Perryat 54 Below, singing many of her most fun-loving and heartfelt hits.

Katy Perry burst onto the scene in the summer of 2008 with the scandalous smash hit "I Kissed A Girl" and has since become a mainstay of popular culture. She became the first female artist to have 5 number-one singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 from the same album - the mulch-platinum "Teenage Dream." Now, over a dozen of your Broadway favorites are beating the summer heat as they take the 54 Below stage to bring new life to her greatest hits! Audiences can expect to hear the hit singles "Firework," "Roar," "Hot 'N' Cold," "Waking Up In Vegas," "Last Friday Night," as well as some of her more introspective tunes, "Not Like The Movies," "By The Grace of God," and more. Kitty Purry and Left Shark might even make a guest appearance!

The evening will be produced and music directed by Benjamin Rauhala, and is the 6th in the Broadway Loves series, which previously celebrated Sam Smith, Celine Dion, the Spice Girls, Britney Spears, and the music of the 90's.

Charles Busch: That Girl/That Boy

The inimitable Charles Busch returns with an all new show. The two-time MAC Award winner, Tony nominee, and drag legend brings to 54 Below an eclectic program of songs both contemporary and from the past. New York Times critic Stephen Holden wrote, "He has the gift of comic gab like few other entertainers. Innately funny, endearing and acutely intelligent, he also has claws. For an audience, the possibility of being scratched, although remote, lends his humor a bracing edge. " Accompanied by his dashing longtime musical director, Tom Judson, Charles combines hilarious personal reminiscence, character sketches and superb storytelling through song into one glittering and glamorous evening in cabaret.

Join Broadway's Dan'yelle Williamson (Rocky, Memphis, Soul Doctor, Wicked) as she takes you on her personal, intimate journey through the raw, soulful sounds of jazz in "All of Me".

Inhibitions are set free in this evening of sassy and sexy tunes telling one woman's story of love and heartbreak...and her faith in life's precious gifts. Hear Williamson's lush contralto soar on songs such as "Stormy Weather," "Good Morning Heartache" and, of course, "All of Me".
