The Songwriter's Orchestra returns to (Le) Poisson Rouge for a third performance on Monday June 13th at 7pm. The concert will feature music and performances by Brittany Campbell, Kate Ferber, Olivia Harris, Janet Krupin, Britton Smith and Jazze Belle (Taylor Simone + Jett Carter). The Songwriter's Orchestra is an ensemble of 12 orchestral musicians that accompanies talented group of singer/songwriters in new arrangements of their songs. It's a rare chance to hear such a diverse group of songwriters backed up by a full chamber orchestra. Britton Smith is currently appearing on Broadway in Shuffle Along. Other credits include After Midnight, For The Last Time and Fortress of Solitude. Janet Krupin appeared on Broadway in Bring It On, Hands on a Hardbody, and If/Then. She writes and performs with the group The Jackson Massive. Brittany Campbell's latest album, Heroes, received rave reviews and had airplay on over 200 stations nationwide, making top 10 lists on numerous programs. Hot Magazine said "She's one of those next-level talents who has her hands in everything" and MTVU wrote that Brittany "combines a transcendent voice with a uniquely distinct visual style and attitude." Kate Ferber recently performed in and associate musical directed Cleveland Play House's production of Little Shop of Horrors, Off-Broadway'sSleep No More, and starred in Ghost Brothers of Darkland County. She has toured the North-East with her one-woman original show One Child Born: The Music of Laura Nyro. Olivia Harris has performed throughout the city with her group Olivia and the Parkers at venues such as The Bitter End, Highline Ballroom, Cornelia Street Cafe and EcoFest in Times Square. Jazze Belle is a Harlem-based electronic soul duo comprised of Jett Carter and Taylor Simone. With influences ranging from Flying Lotus to Jill Scott, and of course, Outkast, the two share a sound influenced by jazz vocals honest lyrics, and edgy, hip-hop production.

The Songwriter's Orchestra has performed at 61 Local, the Laurie Beechman Theatre and 54 Below to great success. They have previously worked with Shaina Taub, Magnus Ferguson, Dawn Cantwell, John-Michael Lyles and Grace McLean among others. Every song is presented in a brand new arrangement, transformed from its original form into a new version so the group of 12 string, wind, brass and percussion players can serve as the sole accompaniment. The ensemble is run by arranger Solomon Hoffman, who recently orchestrated Far From Canterbury (NYCFringe Festival), Plath (NYCFringe Festival), and War Lesbian (Dixon Place).

The musicians in the ensemble are top classical and musical theatre players that have studied at The Juilliard School, Manhattan School of Music, The New School, and Eastman. This concert will feature Jordan Lee (violin), Kevin Kuh (violin), Elise Frawley (viola), Vivian Ludford (cello), Mark Van Ziegler (bass) Caroline Sonett (flute), Julie Pacheco (clarinet), Alex Davis (bassoon), Anthony Limoncelli (trumpet), Avery Roth-Hawthorne (horn), Mariel Bildsten (trombone), and Douglas Chew (percussion)

The Songwriter's Orchestra play Le Poisson Rouge (158 Bleeker Street) on 6/13/16 at 8pm, doors at 7pm. Advanced tickets are $15 and day of show are $20.
