Kat Gang, recently nominated as "Best Jazz Singer" for the 2015 BroadwayWorld New York Cabaret Awards, is performing every Wednesday night at The Plaza Hotel from 8:30-11:30 pm. With her quartet of Matthew Fries on piano, Phil Palombi on bass and Tim Bulkley on drums, Kat Gang brings her unique vocal style described as a "musical breath of fresh air" to the stunning Rose Club at the Plaza Hotel, the iconic landmark (at 768 Fifth Avenue at 59th Street).

The Rose Club was once the legendary Persian Room; a grand performance space host to such stars as Bob Hope, Kay Thompson, Miles Davis and Liza Minnelli. The Rose Club is located upstairs from the lobby of The Plaza Hotel and the menu features an array of signature and classic cocktails, wines, champagnes, and a select epicurean menu to satisfy the tastes of those wishing to indulge in lighter gourmet fare. There is no music cover charge and dress code is "smart casual."

What folks are saying about Wednesdays at The Plaza with the Kat Gang Jazz Band:

"It's Beauty and the Beat at the Plaza Hotel's Rose Club. The Kat Gang Quartet has settled in with its jazz magic every Wednesday evening in the space that once housed the legendary Persian Room. Gang takes the traditional Gershwin and Porter melodies on a serpentine jazz route, she never loses touch with the lyrics, and the traditional tunes take on a fresh shine." --Elizabeth Ahlfors, BistroAwards.com

"Kat Gang is an excellent singer. She moves people."--Jonathan Schwartz, WNYC radio

"Ms. Gang swings and even bounces, but with the undercurrent of attitude, as if to say, "this is one Red Hot Mama that you don't want to mess with."--Will Friedwald, Wall Street Journal
