Praised as "Impeccable, "and "a confident singer...the real deal," by Stephen Holden of the New York Times and winner of two BroadwayWorld.com Awards (Best Show Male and Best Male Vocalist) Todd Murray performs his acclaimed CROON: When A Whisper Became A Song at The Triad, 158 West 72nd Street, New York, for four nights on Tuesday August 16 & 23 and Thursday August 18 and 25, at 7pm. There is a $25.00 cover charge. Due to the high demand for this special event, advance tickets are available and highly recommended by visiting www.TriadNYC.com and calling 212-581-06-0440.

This marks Murray's return to the New York City club scene following his immensely successful and critically performances at the legendary Birdland, Feinstein's At the Regency, the Metropolitan Room, Town Hall and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

In addition to the BroadwayWorld Awards, CROON earnEd Murray two MAC Award nominations for Best Male Vocalist and features Best Song nominee Am I Leaving Today which Todd co-wrote with his musical director Alex Rybeck. Todd will be joined by his CROON players: Rybeck on piano, Sean Harkness on guitar and Steve Doyle on bass.

From lush ballads, swing and Latin beats, rock and pop, CROON travels popular music from the 1920's to the present and features songs by Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Burt Bacharach, Elvis Presley, The Beatles and Bing Crosby.

There is also a studio recorded CD companion piece, Todd Murray's CROONc which garnered national radio play and was called "another winner from Todd Murray, " by Paul Richards of WHLI Radio/New York. CROON is now available on iTunes, Amazon.com, and ToddMurray.com and will be sold at the concert.

CROON is the perfect showcase of Todd Murray's talents, that is a throwback to a bygone era when the emphasis was on the singer and their voice. Again Todd Murray proves, as Frontiers Magazine says to be "a crooner with a great set of chops and the sensibilities of his legendary predecessors ," and
"a silky crooner from the dreamy school of emoting," by Backstage Magazine.

This is a must-see shoiw, by a must see performer and as New York Observer's Rex Reed says, "be sure not to miss Todd Murray!"
