Broadway quadruple threat and Bistro Award winner, Robert Creighton, recently seen as the title character in the critically lauded CAGNEY at The York Theatre Company, returns to 54 Below tonight, September 15th, at 7pm with AN EVENING WITH ROBERT CREIGHTON. Creighton, one of the busiest actors working in the musical theater, will sing his favorite music from the early decades of the 20th Century, along with his original songs.

"Yes, the evening was fun, but Creighton delivered something more substantial, more fundamental, more emotionally rewarding than fun: joy." Roy Sander, Bistro Awards (54 Below 2013)

Creighton is an award-winning writer of CAGNEY, co-authored with Peter Colley and Christopher McGovern. The musical recently broke attendance records at The York Theatre Company during its run from May 19-June 21, 2015. CAGNEY had its World Premiere at Florida Stage in March 2009 and went on to win the prestigious Carbonell Award for "Best New Work."

"Robert Creighton dazzles with a performance that is highly energetic and exceedingly charismatic!" Theatremania (Cagney 2015)

After the conclusion of CAGNEY, Creighton shipped off to Maine to play Igor in Maine State Music Theatre's production of Mel Brooks' hilarious musical comedy YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN. His other recent roles include the inebriated, scheming Durdles in the Broadway revival of THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, his yearlong role as the Purser (and understudy to Joel Grey as Moonface) in Roundabout Theater Company's Broadway revival of ANYTHING GOES, as well as starring roles in PAINT YOUR WAGON and LITTLE ME at New York City Center Encores!, and Angelo in the 2013 Public Theater Shakespeare in the Park production of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS.

A native of Canada, Creighton spent two years with the New York City Opera before Broadway welcomed him in 2003 with a role in Jackie Mason's LAUGHING ROOM ONLY. Since then, in addition to DROOD and ANYTHING GOES, he has appeared on Broadway in CHICAGO (Amos), Disney's THE LION KING (Timon), Disney's THE LITTLE MERMAID (Chef Louis), and CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG.

Creighton's debut CD, Ain't We Got Fun!, was released in 2012 and was produced by Georgia Stitt.
