Artists in Partnership (AIP), a non-profit cultural arts organization, will host its 13th Annual Cabaret Festival this week, May 13-17 at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 West Park Avenue, Long Beach, NY. The festival will be a celebration of the cabaret genre honoring the Great American Songbook.

All performances are FREE to the public.

Featured events include:

· WEDNESDAY, MAY 13, 2 pm, "The History of Cabaret " presented by Susan James

· THURSDAY, MAY 14, 7:30 pm, "Songs and Singers In The Making" Aspiring singers Anna Falvey, Jonathan Kapilian, Maegan Miciotta, and Max Tunney, perform in a master class workshop with musical director Gregory Toroian and Rob Lester, Cabaret Critic

· FRIDAY, MAY 15, 7:30 pm, "The Darker Side of Cole Porter" VERONICA SWIFT with musical director Tedd Firth at the piano

· FRIDAY, MAY 15, 8:45 pm, "The Living Room Show" BOBBY BELFRY, 2014 and 2015 MAC Award Winner, with musical direction byDavid Budway

· SATURDAY, MAY 16, 2 pm- "Cabaret Conversations: Inside the American Songbook " Established artists perform and comment on the cabaret genre. Susan James hosts the discussion with artists -- MAC Award Nominee Joshua Dixon, actress/singer/Broadway and film stars Rita Gardner and Anita Gillette, Paul Greenwood musical director, Barry Kleinbortdirector/songwriter, and Veronica Swift, jazz singer

· SATURDAY, MAY 16, 7:30 pm -"After All" ANITA GILLETTE with Paul Greenwood at the piano

· SATURDAY, MAY 16, 8:45 pm --"In Memory of Anita Darian" Broadway, opera, voiceover and recording artist. An honorary tribute.

· SUNDAY, MAY 17, 2:00 pm "Daddy's Little Girl" PAMELA LEWIS with Bill Heller on piano, Ritt Henn on bass, and Marcus Parsley on trumpet

This event is made possible with public funds from the Long Beach Public Library and former NY State Assemblyman Harvey Weisenberg, and Nassau Country Legislator Denise Ford.

Artists in Partnership, Inc. is a 501c3 cultural arts organization located in Long Beach, NY.
