A WRITER'S ROUND, Featuring Alves, Becker, Martin, Oakley and More, Set for Feinstein's/54 Below on 3/17

FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents A Writers' Round featuring Clyde Alves, Leslie Becker, John Jeffrey Martin, and Desi Oakley. Broadway meets Tennessee in a Nashville-inspired night of songwriting and storytelling. You've seen this stellar group of artists in some of Broadway's biggest hits; now join them for a unique and intimate musical experience as they take the stage together, singing and revealing the stories and inspiration behind their original songs. Musical styles range from folk to pop to country and everything in between. Who knows, you might just hear the next big hit!

A Writers' Round featuring Clyde Alves, Leslie Becker, John Jeffrey Martin, and Desi Oakley plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on Thursday, March 17th at 11:30PM. ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Clyde Alves is a singer/songwriter/song-and-dance man! Over the past 20 years he has performed numerous shows all over the world. He's an avid songwriter and passionate guitar player who's music is born from personal and professional highs and lows. His sound is raw and melodic, infused by a folk, rock, soul and reggae! Clyde was last seen on Broadway starring as Ozzie in the acclaimed revival of On The Town (Astaire Award Nomination). He and his wife (Robyn Hurder) were just nominated for Helen Hayes awards performing opposite each other in Kiss Me Kate at The Shakespeare Theatre Co.

Leslie Becker is an Award-winning Broadway actress, songwriter and recording artist. She has been seen on Broadway and major national tours in ANYTHING GOES, AMAZING GRACE, WICKED, BONNIE & CLYDE and many more. With award-winning producer Joe Vulpis at the helm (Lady Gaga and more), Leslie's debut single SLOW BURN was just released to major market Billboard® radio and is already heating up the airwaves. Last year she released a county music EP featuring top Nashville artists singing her songs and she is often seen in venues in NYC and Nashville singing her music. John Jeffrey Martin, "Jeff" is a Broadway veteran of some 16 years. He has been seen in THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, HAIRSPRAY, GOOD VIBRATIONS, and KINKY BOOTS. He is on two cast albums and starred in Disney's HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL as Troy on tour. Jeff is a songwriter, with several self released albums on itunes, and hundreds of songs written and copyrighted. He is also a painter, always searching for the great inspiration, hoping to create art that others will want to consume. He's open to commissioned work as well. Desi Oakley, originally from Wichita, Kansas, studied musical theatre at the University of Michigan. She made her Broadway debut in WICKED and went on to be in the original Broadway cast revival of ANNIE, toured the country as the Eva Peron Alternate in EVITA and just recently originated a new role in GIRLSTAR at the Signature Theatre. After growing up studying the piano classically since childhood, she began to discover her niche as a piano- based singer-songwriter. Her debut album 'Don't Look Back' hit iTunes in May of 2014, her first single 'White Butterfly' followed shortly after in summer 2015 and she's currently in the process of producing her second full album to drop by this summer!

Danny Taylor Is primarily a drummer and percussionist in New York. Broadway/National tour credits include IN THE HEIGHTS, LEGALLY BLONDE, SITER ACT (associate conductor), and ALLEGIANCE. Most recently he had the privilege of originating the drum/percussion book for Disney's HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME at The La Jolla Playhouse, Papermill Playhouse, and Studio Cast Recording. Danny's interest in producing led him to combining two things he loves, Broadway and Singer/Songwriters. He's very excited to have these four very talented Broadway performers on stage together to share their original music.
