54 Below Celebrates Frank Wildhorn with Series of Concerts, Kicking Off This Month

54 Below Celebrates Frank Wildhorn, a series of concerts spotlighting the music of composer Frank Wildhorn, will be presented at the intimate Manhattan nightspot tonight, December 2, through the 6th, backed by a band led by Wildhorn on piano. Show times at 54 Below are scheduled for December 2-3 at 7pm and December 5-6 at 7pm and 9:30pm.

The December 2-3 concerts will feature a reunion of the original cast members from Bonnie & Clyde performing selections from the score (with lyrics by Tony and Academy Award winner Don Black and book by Emmy Award nominated Ivan Menchell). Scheduled to perform are Jeremy Jordan, Laura Osnes, Melissa van der Schyff, Louis Hobson, Mimi Bessette, Michael Lanning, Kevin Massey, and members of the cast of original cast.

The December 5-6 concerts will feature a cavalcade of Broadway leading men and women and a jazz superstar. These stars include: Leslie Odom, Jr. (Leap of Faith, TV's Smash), Brandi Burkhardt (Tale of Two Cities, Mamma Mia, TV's Hart of Dixie), Janet Dacal (Wonderland, In the Heights), Emmy Raver-Lampman (Jekyll & Hyde revival, Hair), and Adrienne Warren (Bring It On, Orange Is the New Black). Grammy Award nominated jazz vocalist Jane Monheit will join for the 7pm & 9:30pm shows on Friday, December 5th. These shows will features songs from Wildhorn's theatre, jazz, and pop catalogs.

The 7pm performance on Sat Dec 6th will be a celebration for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and will feature Angelina Kelly. Make-A-Wish grants wishes of children of life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Angelina's Wish was to take professional voice lessons and to one day sing in public. In 2005, she sang the National Anthem at the Make-A-Wish Gala in Tarrytown, NY in front of over 400 people. 54 Below Celebrates Frank Wildhorn has music direction by Jason Howland and is produced by Nicholas Cheng. Also performing will be Julia Adamy (bass), Clint de Ganon (drums), David Mann (woodwinds), and Antoine Silverman (violin).
