13P, the OBIE-winning company comprising 13 playwrights, will present The First (and Last) Annual
"THIRTINI AWARDS" at Joe's Pub, 425 Lafayette Street, for one performance only on Monday, May 11
at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:00 p.m.) The coveted awards will be presented by 13P to the mentors and heroes who have inspired them with their seminal contributions to new American plays: Craig Lucas, Suzan-Lori Parks, Paula Vogel, and Mac Wellman. Lisa Kron will host the evening. Excerpts from the four honorees' work will be directed by Sarah Benson (Soho Rep's A.D., and director of this season's smash hit Blasted).

Tickets start at $100. Admission will include reserved seating at Joe's Pub, entrance to the silent auction and post-show reception with the honorees, cast (performers to be announced at a later date) and 13 playwrights. VIP seating at the benefit is also being offered. Joe's Pub menu and bar will be available. For tickets and more information, call 212-613-3119 or go to www.13p.org.

13P was formed in 2003 by 13 mid-career playwrights concerned about the trend of endless readings and new play development with the motto "We don't develop plays. We do them." 13P is: Sheila Callaghan, Erin Courtney, Madeleine George, Rob Handel, Ann Marie Healy, Julia Jarcho, Young Jean Lee, Winter Miller, Sarah Ruhl, Katherine Ryan, Lucy Thurber, Anne Washburn, and Gary Winter.
