On Friday, June 20th, the brightest stars of televisions below the line talent in Daytime gathered at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles to honor their own at the 41st Daytime Creative Arts EMMY Awards. Although many of the individuals associated with nominated projects may not have been household names, there were many recognizable personalities such as Ron Howard, George Lucas, Leeza Gibbons, Jack Hanna and even Cookie Monster (David Rudman). On hand to disperse awards to over 50 categories were such noted performers as Melody Thomas Scott, George Chakiris, Ashley Tisdale, Lauralee Bell and June Lockhart, who has started her 81st year as a paid actress that included her role of Maria Ramirez on General Hospital for many years. Tonight, June 22nd, the #DaytimeEmmys community gathers again at the Beverly Hilton, as those who rely on the efforts and skills of those who were honored the previous night gather to continue the celebration. The evening dedicated to the best of programing between 2:00am to 5:00pm in the areas of talk, game show, news, and drama, as well as the recently added foreign language and entertainment news categories will, in a controversial decision, for the first time in the 41 year history live streamed the popular program rather than the traditional broadcast. Expected to gather for the gala are personalities such as Sharon Osbourne, Kelly Monaco, Scott Clifton, Camryn Grimes, Casey Moss, Aisha Tyler, Giuliana Rancic, Mario Lopez and host Kathy Griffin.

"This evening is a tribute to the hundreds of nominees that raise the bar year-in and year-out of what's possible in Daytime television," said Malachy Wienges, Chairman, NATAS. "With this year's over 1,400 entrants, and the over 1,200 attendees including this year's Lifetime Achievement honoree, Russell Morash, here tonight, it's another great year for Daytime television and the Daytime community."

Tonight's illustrious group of presenters included June Lockhart, George Chakiris, Leeza Gibbons, Joseph Rosendo, "Joseph Rosendo's Travelscope", JD Roberto and Rebecca Budig, hosts of "The Better Show", Norm Abrams, Kevin O'Connor , Richard Trethewey , Roger Cook , Tom Silva from "This Old House", David Rudman with Cookie Monster and Leslie Carrara-Rudolph with Abby Caddaby from "Sesame Street", Hayley Faith Negrin, voice of "Peg" in "Peg+Cat", The Fresh Beat Band: Jon Beavers, Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer, Tara Perry and Thomas Hobson.
