'Homeland's Damian Lewis to Return to Broadway in NIGHT OF THE IGUANA

'Homeland's Damian Lewis recently participated in a 'Timestalks Conversation' hosted by The New York Times. During the interview before a live audience, the Golden Globe and Emmy Award winning actor talked to International New York Times theater critic Matt Wolf about his classic roles in plays by Shakespeare, Moliere and Ibsen, his TV career, including the award-winning miniseries "Band of Brothers"; and his upcoming film roles in "The Silent Storm," "Queen of the Desert" and "Our Kind of Traitor."

He also revealed that theater audiences can look forward to seeing him next spring on the Broadway stage in a new production of 'Night of the Iguana.' "You are going to see me back in the theater in the spring," he shared. "Nothing's finalized yet but I feel safe enough to say it, in Night of the Iguana on Broadway, so I'm looking forward to that." He also told Wolf that he has plans to appear on London's West End in the near future, commenting, "I'm also very excited about something I might be doing in London in September/October."

Lewis' upcoming big screen projects include The Silent Storm, and Queen of the Desert, as well as the TV miniseries To Appomattox. He is also set to star as Henry VIII in the six-part television adaptation of Hilary Mantel's Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies.

He is well known for his portrayal of 'Nicholas Brody' in the TV series Homeland. Among his recent film credits are Romeo and Juliet, The Sweeney, Will, Your Highness and more.

Lewis began his stage career with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He appeared on Broadway in 1995's Hamlet.
