When Oprah heard there was a morning show in Chicago that needed a new host, she stayed Up All Night long with an editor to prepare her audition tape.

This week, the OWN network shared a Youtube clip of Winfrey's original 1983 audition tape, which she explained was a reel she put together overnight with one of her editors. Check out the 1983 original audition tape below!

Winfrey is best known for her multi-award-winning talk show The Oprah Winfrey Show which was the highest-rated program of its kind in history and was nationally Syndicated from 1986 to 2011. Dubbed the "Queen of All Media", she has been ranked the richest African-American of the 20th century, the greatest black philanthropist in American history, and is currently North America's only black billionaire.

She is also, according to some assessments, the most influential woman in the world. In 2013, she was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by PresidentBarack Obama and an honorary doctorate degree from Harvard.

Oprah won an Academy Award for her role in The Color Purple and was recently seen on the big screen in The Butler. It was recently reported that she will make her Broadway debut alongside Audra McDonald in Marsha Norman's 1983 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, "'night, Mother."
