Five years after the tragic death of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, Epic Records announced that they will release an inside look into the singer's archive vault with the posthumous album 'Xscape' on May 13. The album will include eight previously unreleased tracks which have been "contemporized for modern ears."

Below, get a first listen to the title track!

Executive produced by Epic Records CEO and chairman L.A. Reid, the project also includes the creative talents of producers Timbaland, Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome "Jroc" Harmon and John McClain. Together, the artists have retooled the music "to give it a more current sound while retaining what they believe to be Jackson's creative vision."

In a news release, Reid commented that Jackson "left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with."

The album's title comes from a song which Jackson and Jerkins recorded during the recording sessions for his 2001 album 'Invincible.' The track marks the only one on the album which has been "contemporized' by the same producer who originally recorded it with Jackson.

According to the report, a deluxe edition of the album will include all the sourced recordings in their original forms. Pre-orders for the album will begin April 1.

Jackson, who passed away in 2009, was a recording artist, actor, producer, dancer, businessman, and philanthropist. Often referred to by the honorific nickname "The King of Pop",his contributions to music, dance, and fashion, along with his publicized personal life, made him a global figure in popular culture for over four decades.
