Kristin Chenoweth stopped by last night's LATE SHOW on CBS and became the victim of a rather cruel April Fool's prank devised by the late night host.

The actress was speaking about her horrible ordeal last year in which a lighting fixture fell on her while filming an episode of CBS's "The Good Wife." "No matter where I'm at, I always look up. Because I wanna know, you know, if anything's gonna fall," Chenoweth explained. "Well, sure," sympathized Letterman, just before a sandbag dropped on to his desk just a few feet from the startled star.

After crossing herself, the good-natured belter admitted, "I'm sweating in between my cleavage!" Watch the stunt below and check out Chenoweth's impromptu performance of 'Over the Rainbow' later in the show here!
