FX's hit horror anthology series American Horror Story has recently reached its ratings peak thus far with the highly successful third season, subtitled COVEN, and the stars of the series discuss the stately mansion that acts as home to many of the characters on the series in a new featurette.

INSIDE THE COVEN: Miss Robichaux's Academy offers viewers an opportunity to take a closer look at the design, architecture and inspiration for the impressive design of the visually anomalous and alluring environment.

"I love the set because it automatically gives you your character. It makes you feel a certain way," returning series player Denis O'Hare opines in the new behind the scenes clip.

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN centers on a modern-day witch academy in New Orleans, featuring returning series star Jessica Lange and new addition Kathy Bates alongside Season Three featured players Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Frances Conroy, Gabourey Sidibe, Denis O'Hare, Patti LuPone, Evans Peters, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe and Emma Roberts.

The official description of AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN is as follows: ""Coven" tells the secret history of witches and witchcraft in America. Over 300 years have passed since the turbulent days of the Salem witch trials and those who managed to escape are now facing extinction. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind and young girls are Being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves. Wrapped up in the turmoil is new arrival, Zoe (Farmiga), who is harboring a terrifying secret of her own. Alarmed by the recent aggression, Fiona (Lange), the long-absent Supreme, sweeps back into town, determined to protect the Coven and hell-bent on decimating anyone who gets in her way."

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN premieres on October 9 at 10 PM.
