Authentic Entertainment, the producers of the hit series Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and Auction Kings, and IGN Entertainment, the world's leading video games media outlet, today announce the debut of GEEK LOVE, which follows the weirdest, wackiest nerds out there as they try to find love at real-life speed-dating sessions at New York's Comic-Con event. Geek Love premieres Thursday, January 3, 2013 as a nine-episode series, with new episodes airing Thursdays at 12 p.m. PT, exclusively on IGN's START YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/start).

Dating has never been easy, but try dating in a Darth Vader mask or Wonder Woman ensemble. When comic and sci-fi fanatics can't find someone to share their passion, they turn to Ryan Glitch, founder of Sci-Fi Speed Dating. Glitch sets up speed dating sessions at events such as Comic-Con, bringing like-minded people together to embrace their idiosyncrasies and find love. Geek Love takes viewers inside the fascinating world of Sci-Fi dating for an insider's look into the lives of these eccentric singles and their journey to find love.

Inspired from the original Geek Love one-hour special that aired in 2012, the new reality web-series introduces viewers to a whole new brood of sci-fi singles in search of love. Beginning, Thursday, January 3 at 12 p.m. PT, viewers will meet a new geek each week as they surge through Glitch's Sci-Fi Speed Dating session at New York's Comic Con. A few of the nine Geek Love eccentric bachelors and bachelorettes include: Alex, a board game king and a devout "Bronie" (male fan of "My Little Pony") who keeps finding himself stuck in the friend zone; Casey Ann , who has been a Zelda-loving gamer since the age of two and describes herself as part Geek, part Girl; and Brittany, a Kindergarten teacher by day and Geek by night looking for the perfect gamer to grow old with.

The nine-episode web-series is produced by Authentic Entertainment, LLC, an Endemol company, for IGN. The show will air exclusively on IGN's START YouTube channel, which delivers a mix of live and long-form programming for anyone who loves or plays games.
