mun2, the leading Hispanic cable network for adults 18-34, will premiere DUB LATINO, a half-hour, weekly car culture and entertainment lifestyle magazine TV series, on Sunday, October 28 at 11 p.m. EST/10 p.m. CST. The series will be hosted by Regional Mexican music superstar Gerardo Ortiz and will feature segments with model Magda Angel. The series will focus on Hispanic entertainers from music, sports, film and television and their connections with cars as well as their past-times and how both reflect their lifestyle. The first episode will have Ortiz introduce viewers to Latin music pop star Prince Royce and Champion Boxer Victor Ortiz, and upcoming DUB Latino episodes will feature actor Rafael Amaya, Reggaeton superstar Ivy Queen, UFC champion Tito Ortiz, Regional Mexican stars Roberto Tapia, Tribal music leaders 3Ball MTY, WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio as well as the sights and sounds from the DUB auto show.

“DUB is one of the most important and transformative auto magazines, brands and influencers for the mun2 audience – young, adult Latinos,” said Diana Mogollon, General Manager, mun2. “They are DUB readers, transforming their cars, creating a unique lifestyle and starting trends that go beyond four wheels. Our audience lives and creates an identity that meshes music, fashion, family and cars – from creating customized cars through paint, art and horsepower to experiencing la vida to the fullest. Their car doesn’t just take them there, it describes them, and that is what DUB Latino reflects.”

In its premiere episode DUB goes from speed to classic: Latin music superstar Prince Royce is stylin’ behind the wheel of the incomparable Maserati on the way to flying high over Miami; boxer Victor Ortiz keeps it real in California, letting DUB Latino be the first to take a sneak peek at his bad-ass 1970 Chevy El Camino rebuild. Additional features include Angel at the DUB auto show in LA; Pa Que Sepan or ‘how-to’ segments so viewers will get the right advice on choosing the right wheels for their car; a behind the scenes look at the sexy models of Monster at their photo shoot, plus hot cars, hot girls and a hot Go Kart Racing Challenge featuring Latin music sensation, the Tribal musical group 3ball MTY.

The series is produced in conjunction with DUB magazine, the original automotive lifestyles magazine, and has been shot on-location throughout the U.S. The series is Executive Produced by Myles Kovacs, President & Co-Founder, DUB Magazine, and Gloria Medel Solomons for mun2. “DUBRace” will be the theme song for the series, produced by trendsetting Latin DJ/Producers Toy Selectah and Sheeqo Beat, courtesy of Sones Del Mexside, Inc.
