mun2 to Air Coverage of U.S. v Brazil BEACH SOCCER CHALLENGE, Today

mun2, the modern general entertainment cable channel for Latinos, will air the first nationally televised Beach Soccer Event held in the United States on Saturday September 13 at 2:30 p.m. EST/ 1:30 p.m. CST with the U.S. facing Brazil in the Beach Soccer Challenge.

Held at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida the U.S. national beach soccer squad is led by forward Nick Perera, while The Brazilian team's top striker is Bruno Xavier a FIFA 2013 winner of the "Golden Ball" and "Silver Scorer" awards. Beach soccer is played similarly to the regular rules of soccer with the exception that THE PITCH (field ) is smaller 35x26M, played on sand and each squad has 5 players on the field at the same time, including goalkeepers. Matches last three periods of 12 minutes each with a three minute interval between each period of play. Substitutions are unlimited and may be made at any time, whether the ball is in or out of play.

The U.S. last competed July 25-27 in the Mundialito in Portugal, where it finished in fourth place and last faced Brazil in May in Playa del Carmen, Mexico, in the opener of the Riviera Maya Cup in which Brazil won 11-1.

Sportscasters Karim Mendiburu and Omar Amador will call the match.
