inTENsity, the group of 12-17-year-olds that were eliminated on last night's episode of THE X FACTOR, took the news of being the first act to be voted off  very hard. As the group was told they were one of the bottom acts, along with fellow group, the Stereo Hogzz, members of inTENsity cried, gasped, and shook their heads in disbelief. But after they sang their "song for survival" (a great rendition of Kelly Clarkson's "My Life Would Suck Without You") and the judges (3 to 1) voted them off, a scream and loud cry came from 13-year-old Ma'at, breaking hearts nationwide.

THE X FACTOR official web site caught up with them moments after the show ended to see how they were doing. "I think I'm almost done crying," group member Ma'at said. "I was just so heart-broken and devastated." John Lindahl said being in the bottom two with their good friends, the Stereo Hogzz, was especially hard. "It was like a lose-lose," he said. "We did our best," said Nick Dean.

Judge Paula Abdul was surprised at America's vote as well. "I didn't think it would happen at all that two of my groups would be in the bottom two,"  However, she does admit that it's a challenge to get America to bond with a group as opposed to an individual act. "It's very difficult to have America connect with more than one person," she said.

inTENsity ended the night on a high note with this group chant: "Break the rules, stand apart, ignore your head, and follow your heart!"

THE X FACTOR airs Wednesday and Thursday nights on the Fox Network.
