Watch Hillary Clinton And Donald Trump in Virtual Reality Through THE CIRCUS on Showtime

SHOWTIME is offering viewers the opportunity to experience extended content, through the eyes of six candidate supporters, in 360 degree immersive virtual reality from its campaign documentary series THE CIRCUS. Showtime captured the 360 video on the campaign trail at Hillary Clinton's policy speech in Orlando, FL and Donald Trump's campaign rally in Bedford, NH. This is the networks' first time offering extended virtual reality content for a series, utilizing the unique documentary-style storytelling from THE CIRCUS. Showtime has created an immersive extension of the series, giving viewers a first-person point of view of what it is like to attend these events featuring two of the series' co-hosts, Mark Halperin and Mark McKinnon.

The 360 footage is viewable on THE CIRCUS Youtube channel (Clinton Policy Speech 360 / Trump Campaign Rally 360), Facebook, Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Video, Hulu VR app (on Gear VR and Oculus Rift), Littlstar VR apps (mobile, Gear VR, Apple TV, Playstation VR), Zeality VR apps (mobile) and Playstation VR. The videos will be available on HTC Vive later this month.

Following the six supporters on a journey throughout two days of events, Showtime is taking viewers deep inside the action, with a first person perspective. Showtime captured the 360 videos with multiple cameras, including stabilized moving cameras and fixed cameras, recording time lapse and interview segments throughout both of the Clinton and Trump events. The opportune placement of these cameras gives viewer the unique chance to experience the campaign, as if they are participating in the action in real time.

THE CIRCUS is produced in cooperation with BLOOMBERG POLITICS and features managing editors Mark Halperin and John Heilemann (co-authors of the New York Times best-sellers Game Change and Double Down, and co-hosts of the nightly political show "With All Due Respect" on Bloomberg Television) and noted campaign strategist Mark McKinnon.
