Recognizing the impact and importance that Hip Hop has had on the American musical scene and the world at large for the past 40 years, brand management company Tranquil Water NY, Inc. presents the groundbreaking docu-series, Hip Hop: HTE (History. Transition. Evolution.) Check out the trailer below!

Commemorating Hip Hop's accepted 40th anniversary - marked by a legendary party held by DJ Kool Herc on August 11, 1973 -Hip Hop: HTE host, Ramon "Rik" Singley, is interviewing icons from all facets of the industry on the origins, commercialization and future of Hip Hop music and culture. Hip Hop: HTE will air during broadcasts on Tranquil Water NY, Inc.'s upcoming online media site: GoBe.TV.

The series is being filmed at various indoor and outdoor locations where it all began: New York City. Hosted by Hip Hop journalist and photographer Ramon "Rik" Singley, the show will take a sophisticated look at the 40 year old culture and worldwide phenomenon that began out of house and block parties in the boogie down Bronx. Ramon will take us to landmarks of Hip Hop history throughout the city, from the site of the first Hip Hop parties: the South Bronx's 1520 Sedgwick Ave, to the blocks where Hip Hop first took hold of the lives of our interviewees. The series of archived videos will create a living library for future generations of fans of the music genre that despite humble roots changed the world.

"I want to educate people on the history of Hip Hop and where it really came from," says Executive Producer Omar Ortiz, CEO of Tranquil Water NY Inc. "Understanding our history will ensure that we are also evolving in a positive manner."

Director Erica Lauren McLaughlin, COO of Tranquil Water NY Inc. also mentions her personal connection to the project, "As a fan of Hip Hop who has seen it change and dilute, I want a real analysis of how we got here, so we can learn from our successes and mistakes and bring good music back". She adds, "I've seen all the docs out there, none is as thorough as this one. We're not ego driven, so as long as we make it about hip hop and not about us, we will get down to the truth".

As part of Hip Hop: HTE, Tranquil Water NY, Inc. is also partnering with Harvard Ph.D. and world renowned psychophysicist Dr. Howard Moskowitz on a scientific study about understanding and identifying what the different segments of Hip Hop fans are that exist. Dr. Moskowitz's consumer research science, called Mind Genomics, is an experimental, inductive science whose objective is to identify the different consumer attitudes towards everyday products to organize the types into mindset segments to target and market to them more effectively. Dr. Moskowitz has experienced worldwide success as a consultant to companies and brands such as Prego, Campbell's Soup, PepsiCo, Revlon, Discover, and more. The unique partnership will produce significant market research and new products for the Hip Hop community at large, and is currently being referred to as "Hip Hop Genomics".
