In the last year, THE GOOD WIFE was named one of AFI's Top Television Shows of 2013, won the 2014 Television Critics Award for Outstanding Achievement in Drama and garnered five Emmy nominations and three Golden Globe nominations. The drama stars Julianna Margulies as Alicia Florrick, a disgraced wife who returns to work as a lawyer after her State's Attorney husband is imprisoned following a sexual scandal. After four successful years as a litigator, Alicia starts a new firm with her colleague, Cary Agos, which leads to a bitter feud with her former bosses, Diane Lockhart and Will Gardner. Hostilities take a back seat, however, when Will, who was also Alicia's one-time lover, is killed in a courtroom shooting. The shooting unmoors Alicia, who no longer understands how to proceed with her life. Separated from her husband, Peter Florrick, now the Governor of Illinois, Alicia is presented with several interesting options: run for State's Attorney, or lure Diane to her new firm and continue to fight cases in the cutthroat world of Chicago law.
